CLP threatens to release evidence of TDP 's mega scam
Hyderabad , Mar 12 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Legislative Party (CLP) today said that it would release evidence of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's involvement in a scam to the tune of Rs 2000 crore According to a press release, CLP Secretaries E Pratap Reddy, K Surekha and S Gangaram alleged that Mr Naidu, who was the Chief Minister during 1996 to 2004, permitted the setting up of bogus industrial units in all districts of the state, in the name of industrial development through a GO in one year, terming it as the 'Target 2000' scheme.
The evidences of the TDP Chief's alleged involvement in the mega scam would be released to the people at the earliest, the release added.
Mr Naidu, who lost power in the last Assembly elections, in frustation is trying to obstruct all developmental works being taken up by the ruling Congress government, it said.
