Youth killed in quarry blast

Kolhapur, Mar 11 (UNI) A 28-year-old youth was killed while another got seriously injured when stones hailed on them following a blast in a quarry in this district today.

The incident occurred near Shiye village in Karvir taluka of this district, police said.

Stone quarrying work was in progress and the two were engaged in the work, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Uttam Rajaram Powar. The injured, Annu Renu Rathod (27), was admitted to the civil hospital, police said.
