Two giant screens to be put up for Goa ODI
Panaji, Mar 11 (UNI) Two giant screens would be erected at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao here for the third One Day International match between India and England on April 3.
Goa Cricket Association (GCA) president Vinod Desai told reporters here today that the stadium was being spruced up for the match.
As many as 13,300 tickets, out of a total of 26,300, would be put up for sale from March 20 onwards and their price would range from Rs 400 to Rs 2000. The GCA, he said, is likely to incur an expenditure of Rs 60 lakh towards hosting the event.
Meanwhile, BCCI vice president and the state IT Minister Dayanand Narvekar, who was also present, informed that the advisory committee, set up by the GCA for building a state-of-the-art cricket stadium at Tivim, met today and reviewed the progress.
If the land was handed over to us, the BCCI is ready to go ahead with the construction of the international cricket stadium in Goa, he said.
