Shahapur to get new City Civil Court
Gulbarga, Mar 11 (UNI) Shahapur town in Gulbarga will get a new City Civil Court which will start functioning within one year, Karnataka High Court judge K Bakthavatsala informed today.
Inaugurating the silver jubilee celebrations of Shahapur Court and Bar Association, he said the aim of the government was to have a court in each taluk. The High Court had sent a proposal to the state Government to provide sufficient funds for the functioning of new courts and circuit benches of the High Court, he added.
The Judge released a souvenir on the occasion.
Agricultural Marketing Minister Sharanabasappa Darshanapur in his presidential address said he would try to get funds allocated for the functioning of the circuit bench in this city. He would discuss the issue with Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, he added.
He exuded confidence that the government would cover provision of infrastructure facilities for the circuit bench in the next budget.
