Constitutional expert Dr S P Sathe passes away
Pune, Mar 11 (UNI) Renowned Constitutional expert Dr S P Sathe passed away at a private nursing home here yesterday. He was 74.
Dr Sathe, who died yesterday, was a former principal of the Indian Law Society's Law College here and had been suffering from oesophageal cancer. He is survived by his wife Dr Vijaya and two sons.
The mortal remains of Dr Sathe were cremated this afternoon. The body was kept at the ILS Law College to enable his admirers and well-wishers to pay their last respects.
He was a reader of law in the Bombay University in 1957, and took over as principal of the ILS Law College in 1976. After stepping down as the principal in 1991, he served as director of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.
