649 students caught copying in UP Board exams

Lucknow, Mar 11 (UNI) In the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Board examination, 649 students were today caught copying across the state.

According to education department sources here, Agra division topped the list with 167 copycats, followed by Meerut 78, Gorakhpur 66, Kanpur 55, Lucknow 40, Bareilly 40, Varanasi 35, Azamgarh 34, Allahabad 31, Saharanpur 27, Moradabad 20, Devipatan 19, Basti 13, Jhansi 11, Faizabad 8 and Mirzapur 5.

So far, 3,613 students have been caught copying since the examination started on March 4.
