Website of Appellate Tribunal for Electricity launched

New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today launched the website of the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity which would facilitate ready access to information on the Rules, Causelists, and Orders of the Tribunal.

The Tribunal, set up under the Electricity Act, 2003, is the appellate authority to hear appeals and original petitions against the orders of adjudicating officer or the Central or State Electricity Regulatory Commissions.

Headed by Mr Justice Anil Dev Singh, it started functioning from July 21, 2005. More than 250 appeals/petitions have already been filed.
