Varanasi blast suspects rounded up in Hardoi

Lucknow, Mar 10: A team from the Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police today (Mar 10, 2006) rushed to Hardoi after local police sleuths detained eight persons including two, whose appearance matched the sketches of Varanasi blast accused.

According to police, the team rushed to the neighbouring Hardoi district after getting information about the detention.

''Two of the eight persons match the description of the suspects behind Tuesday's serial blasts in the temple town,'' sources added.

Meanwhile, the SP (Hardoi) was personally interrogating those detained by the police.

Yesterday, Varanasi Police had released computer sketches based on inputs provided by traders of Godolia area. Two live bombs were defused in the same area minutes after the first explosion ripped through the Sankatmochan temple.
