Unseasonal rains disrupts life in Pune

Pune, Mar 9 (UNI) Unprecedented unseasonal rains lashed the city, bringing some relief to the people troubled by the ongoing summer season.

The rains, however, would effect the standing crop of wheat and other cereals in most part of the country.

The overcast skies abruptly broke into light rain and later heavy rains started in the evening, throwing the normal life out of gear.

Sources at the Meteorological Department said, it was possibly due to depression in the Arabian Sea.
