Student body recovered, search continues for another

Vijayawada, Mar 10 (UNI) The body of a student who was washed away in the gushing waters of Bandar Canal yesterday was recovered near the American Hospital in the city today.

Police said the body of Vijay Kumar (18) was sent to the University Government hospital for post-mortem.

Search operation was on to trace the body of Vajral Varun Sai, who was also swept away.

The incident happened when Varun standing at the canal, slipped and fell into it. Vijay Kumar, who tried to rescue him met the same fate.
