Reveal committee report on tribal lands: CPI(M)

Hyderabad, Mar 10 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh unit of the Communist Party of India, Marxist, today demanded that the government place the reports of the two member committee who studied the problems of tribal lands and submitted to the government recently before the Assembly.

In an open letter to Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, a copy released to the press here, CPI (M) state Secretary and national politburo member B V Raghavulu said former IAS officers J M Girglani and DVLN Murthy, who studied the tribal lands in Telangana and Coastal Andhra respectively had recommended the government to solve the long pending problem. But the government was not ready to disclose the recommendations and implement them, he charged.

Mr Raghavulu alleged that the government was neglecting the problems of the tribals, who lost their lands due to encroachment.
