Rains see mercury plummeting in UP
Lucknow, Mar 10 (UNI) The light rainfall experienced at several places in Uttar Pradesh during the last 24 hrs saw mercury plummet by several notches today.
The chilly and breezy weather also forced people revert to warm clothing.
The state meteorological office said here the UP capital recorded a maximum temperature of 20.8 degrees Celsius, which was 10 degrees below normal. Lucknow also received good amount of rainfall.
In the last 24 hrs, Jhansi recorded the maximum rainfall of 11.6 mm; followed by Bareilly 10.4; Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Kanpur 4 each.
Meanwhile, the weathermen forecast rains/thundershowers at some places in the next 24 hrs. Some districts might also receive hailstorm.
