Preserve ancient monuments and shrines:Azad

Bhaderwah, Mar 10 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has urged the archaeological and the tourism departments to develop and preserve ancient monuments and shrines in the state.

Visiting ancient temples at Gupt Ganga yesterday, Mr Azad stressed the need for preserving ancient monuments, shrines, temples, mosques and birthplaces of sufis and saints. These sites are the rich treasures of the state and part of the country's glorious civilisation, he added.

The Chief Minister said it is a pride for the state that the land was the home of great saints and sufis who meditated here and spread the message of love, peace and humanity.
