Nagpur ZP Dy CEO in ACB net for accpeting bribe
Nagpur, Mar 10 (UNI) Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Nagpur Zilla Parishad (ZP) Sudhir Walke was arrested by sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for accepting a bribe from a veterinary doctor yesterday, according to agency sources.
Walke had demanded Rs 10,000 from Dr Umar Khan Pathan to forward his file sanctioning Rs 54 lakh by the National Cooperative Development Corporkation (NCDC) for setting up a a poultry farm in Mauda Taluka of Nagpur district. The sanctioned fund was to be distributed through the Zilla parishad.
Dr Khan lodged a complaint with the ACB officials who laid a trap and caught Walke red-handed while accepting the bribe of Rs 10,000 at his office. The ACB also raided the house of Walke at Narmada Colony on Katol road here.
