Kumble waits for 500th wicket, no play between lunch and tea
Mohali, Mar 10 (UNI) No play was possible between lunch and tea due to bad light on the second day of the second Test between India and England being played here at the PCA Stadium today.
Umpires Darrel Hair and Simon Taufel inspected the conditions four times after the match was stopped at 1037 hrs.
The match began at 0930 hrs and continued for 67 minutes before bad light stopped play.
Earlier, Anil Kumble moved one step closer to become the first Indian bowler to take 500 wickets when he dislodged the bails of Paul Collingwood (25). Collingwood batted for 103 minutes, facing 77 balls for his 25 runs. He added 23 runs for the fifth wicket with skipper Andrew Flintoff.
