House concerned over threats to MLA
Patna, Mar 10 (UNI) Members of Bihar assembly today voiced concern over the threat to life of JD(U) MLA Rama Nand Singh and demanded proper security cover for him.
Senior BJP member Bhola Singh raised the issue during zero hour and demanded immediate intervention from the Speaker in view of the seriousness of the matter.
RJD member Abdul Bari Siddiqui also expressed concern over the threats being given to the JD(U) MLA and demanded adequate security to him.
Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav informed the house that the MLA had talked to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the issue and the government had taken serious note of the issue. Mr Yadav assured the house that the state government would provide proper security to Mr Singh.
