HC reserves order on Ajnala's petition

Chandigarh, Mar 9 (UNI) Punjab and Haryana High Court today reserved the judgement on the petition filed by senior Akali leader Dr Rattan Singh Ajnala and seven other legislators seeking directions for registration of cases against Congress leaders who, as ministers in the Beant Singh Government in 1992 onwards, had been indicted by the Lok Pal for corruption.

The case was heard by the division bench of Justices Amar Dutt and Baldev Singh of Lal Singh.

The indicated Congress leaders are Punjab Irrigation Minister, Shamsher Singh Dulo, Punjab Congress Committee President, Bal Mukund Sharma and Lakhmir Singh Randhawa.

In his reply filed by the Punjab assembly Secretary G S Mavi in response to the notice by the Bench, submitted that the Lok Pal report had been laid on the table of the House for necessary action.
