Eight pilgrims killed in road mishap

Mandya, Karnataka, Mar 10 (UNI) Eight pilgrims were killed and ten others seriously injured when a lorry in which they were travelling overturned and fell into a ditch between Halagur and Mutthathi highway in Malavalli taluk, today.

Police sources said the mishap occurred when the victims were on their way to attend a religious function.

The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.

Superintendent of Police Sridhar and other police officials have rushed to the spot.
