Dalmiya clarifies, says waiting for BCCI's reply on TV rights

Kolkata, Mar 10 (UNI) Former BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya today pulled up the current regime for allegedly skirting the questions he had raised regarding the loss of Rs 82 crore in the TV rights deal, while giving a pointwise clarification to the latest allegations levelled at him.

In a press meet at Mohali last evening, BCCI Vice President Lalit Modi, in company of I S Bindra, brought about fresh accusations against Mr Dalmiya that included unaccounted for money spent during the board's Platinum Jubilee celebrations and Videocon Trophy held in Holland and cricket historian Boria Majumdar being paid Rs 52 lakhs.

Mr Dalmiya, while adderssing the press here, said, ''The level of transparency is evident from the fact that the current regime is closing the matter related to the loss of Rs 82 crore in the TV rights deal raised by me stating that the bidders are happy and they had no problems.'' ''If they have problems in replying to my queries they can put up the original tender papers on the net or even involve internationally renowned chartered farms like Mckinsey and Pricewaterhouse to decide what I have pointed out is wrong or right,'' he said.
