Court's notice to Police Comm on girl's abduction, forced marriage

New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) A local court today issued notices to the Delhi Police Commissioner and SHO Nabi Karim on a complaint of a woman seeking action on her daughter being forcibly abducted and married.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjeev Jain issued the notices after Anita Aushik complained that her daughter, who worked with the ICICI Bank, was missing ever since she left for her office on February 13.

The woman lodged a complaint with the Nabi Karim police station but nothing was done.

On February 28, she learned that her daughter had got ''married'' to one Salim after being abducted.

In its notice, the court while asking the SHO/IO to appear in person on March 13, also asked the Police Commissioner to explain what action had been taken on the complaint.
