BCCI, PCB request ECB to stage charity ODI series
London, Mar 10 (UNI) India and Pakistan have requested the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to stage an ODI series between the two sides here for raising funds for the victims of the October 8 earthquake.
''We are expecting a positive response from the England and Wales Cricket Board,'' BCCI vice President Lalit Modi told BBC Sport.
''Lord's has already agreed to host a match between India and Pakistan, but the final decision will be taken by the cricket authorities in England,'' he added.
The series will have two or three matches in its schedule and if approved, will be played this summer.
Seventy five per cent of the proceeds from the matches will be given to Pakistan while the rest will be taken by India.
''These matches will be of big interest to the Asian community living there,'' Mr Modi said.
