Chennai, Mar 10 (UNI) A four-member committee headed by Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy would decide on forging a tie-up with Democratic Indira Congress (K) for the Assembly elections in Kerala, AICC General Secretary Veerappa Moily said today.

In an informal chat with newspersons here, Mr Moily said the Kerala Pradesh Congress had set up the committee, comprising Mr Chandy, A K Antony, Vayalar Ravi and Ramesh Chennithala, after the AICC plenary in Hyderabad gave the nod for admitting those who had left the party.

If Mr Karunakaran, desires to rejoin the party, the high command would consider the matter, but it all depends on the report to be submitted by the four-member committee, he said.

Mr Moily said a firm ''no'' when asked whether the same yardstick would apply to rebel leader Tindivanam K Ramamurthy in Tamil Nadu, who floated the Tamizhaga Indira Congress and all set to enter into an alliance with the AIADMK. Mr Ramamurthy had been expelled from the party, Mr Moily clarified.

In Kerala, though Mr Karunakaran floated the new party, he was not expelled from the party and only his son K Muralidharan faced the axe, Mr Moily said.
