1st stretch of Metro Project to become operational in 3 yrs

Bangalore, Mar 10 (UNI) The first seven-kilometre stretch of the prestigious Bangalore Metro Rail Project between Byappanahalli and Cricket Stadium will become operational within three years, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) Managing Director M K Srivathsava informed today.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the Rs 6,300 crore project, which got the concurrence of the Group of Ministers yesterday, would be placed before the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) for final clearance on March 16.
