10 yrs' imprisonment for smuggling opium
Neemuch, MP, Mar 10 (UNI) A special court has sentenced a person to 10 years' imprisonment on the charge of smuggling opium and fined him Rs one lakh failing, which the term will be extended by a year.
According to prosecution, the Central Narcotics Bureau had arrested Rajasthan-based Chhaganlal from railway station here and seized the drug from him on May 12, 2001.
Judge Anupam Srivastava handed down the ruling yesterday.
