Unseasonal rains lash city
Mumbai, Mar 9 (UNI) Unseasonal rains lashed several parts of the metropolis today giving respite to Mumbaikars from the soaring temperatures.
Deputy Director of General Meteorology (DDGM) C V V Badram said that the unseasonal rains was the result of a fall in the upper air trough which passed through Maharashtra and its neighbouring states.
Mr Badran said that this has resulted in western disturbances with parts of northern India, including Delhi, Haryana and Pnjab likely to be affected.
The weather bureau forecasts light rains accompanied with thurdershowers and lightning across the Maharashtra and Goa in the next 48 hours.
He said there would be a slight fall in day temperatures, they added.
