Two killed in blast in eastern Turkish city-media
ANKARA, Mar 9 (Reuters) Two people were killed and 12 wounded in an explosion today in the eastern Turkish city of Van, CNN Turk television quoted the DHA news agency as saying.
The state Anatolian news agency put the death toll at one and said 13 people had been wounded in the explosion, which it said might have been caused by a suicide bomber.
Tensions have been running high in Van, a mainly Kurdish city near the Iranian border, in recent weeks.
