SR to run 4 special trains between April-June

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 9 (UNI) The Southern Railway will run four special trains, including a daily superfast from Chennai and Bangalore during the summer season to cater the demands of passengers.

Besides the daily superfast train from Chennai to Thiruvananthapuram, a weekly superfast train to Mangalore and a bi-weekly special from Chennai Egmore to Nagercoil, the SR would operate another train between Bangalore and Ernakulam from April to June, a release from SR said here today.

Train No 0635/0636 Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai superfast would leave Chennai at 1700 hrs on every Fridays and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 0730 hrs, the next day. On its return trip, the train would depart Thiruvananthapuram at 1730 hrs and arrive Chennai at 1000 hrs, the next day.

Train No 0601/0602 Chennai-Mangalore would leave Chennai at 1600 hrs on every Fridays and reach Mangalore at 0800 hrs, the next day.

The train on its return trip would leave Mangalore at 1600 hrs on every Sundays and reach Chennai at 0800 hrs, the next day.

Train No 0605/0606 Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil would leave Chennai at 2000 hrs on every Mondays and Tuesdays and reach Nagercoil at 1000 hrs, the next day. In its return journey, the train would leave Nagercoil at 1330 hrs on every Tuesdays and Fridays and reach Egmore at 0430 hrs.

The Bangalore-Ernakulam special would leave Ernakulam at 1700 hrs on every Mondays and Wednesdays and reach Bangalore at 0415 hrs, the next day and on its return trip, it would leave Bangalore at 1715 hrs on every Tuesdays and Thursdays and reach Ernakulam at 0430 hrs, the release added.
