Section 144 clamped in Shahabad
Gulbarga, Mar 9: Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) was clamped in Shahabad town of Gulbarga district for three days following a clash between two communities this morning.
Police said the clash resulted due to an altercation between two youths over the ownership of a mobile phone. The two groups hurled stones at each other resulting in damages to few shops and some vehicles.
Additional police forces had been deployed to prevent any untoward incident, DSP Dr K Ramachandra told sources.
The situation, now peaceful, was being closely monitored, he added.
