Gulbarga, Mar 9 (UNI) Prohibitory orders under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CRPC) was clamped in Shahabad Town of Gulbarga district for three days since this morning following a clash between two communities last night.

Police said an altercation between two youths over the ownership of a mobile phone led to the clash. The two groups hurled stones at each other resulting in damages to a few shops and some vehicles.

Additional police force had been deployed to prevent untoward incident District Superintenent of Police Dr K Ramachandra told UNI.

The situation, now peaceful, was being closely monitored, he added.
