School Fees Waiver For Girls

New Delhi, Mar 9: Girls attending Classes VI to XII in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan schools who are their parents' only child do not have to pay fees, the Human Resource Development Ministry said today.

A Ministry statement said the decision to waive the fees took effect on January 1 this year.

It has been implemented in all 919 Kendriya Vidyalayas across India and has benefited 10,300 girls.
