Resident Doctors strike enters 11th day today
Mumbai, Mar 9 (UNI) The Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors' (MARD) strike entered its 11th day today, with no solution still in sight.
MARD Joint Secretary Dr Yoganand Patil said, ''We will continue to strike. There has been no response from the government side.'' ''We are waiting for the government to call us a for a discussion and resolve the issue, but there has still been no response,'' he added.
When contacted, BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) officials said, ''Now the government has take to decision as nothing is in our hands.'' Resident doctors went on a strike from February 27 after two of their colleagues were beaten up by relatives of patients in tocivic-run hospitals here.
