RBI asks UCBs to instal note counting machines at counters
Mumbai, Mar 9 (UNI) Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked all Scheduled Urban Co-operative banks to instal dual display note counting machines at the payment counter of their branches to build confidence among the customers to accept note packets secured with paper bands, said a RBI notification here today.
This notification was in connection with a previous directive regarding securing of currency note packets with paper bands and avoiding stapling or stitching of note packets.
