Precious metal open on a weak note

Mumbai, Mar 9: Values of silver and gold resumed on a weak note in the opening session on bearish global advice, traders at the bullion market here today (Mar 9, 2006) said.

Following were the rates: Silver (per kg).999 fineness grade : Rs 14,040, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 7,930, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 7,970.
