Plane carrying Bengal CM encounters tyre burst
New Delhi, Mar 9 (UNI) Indian flight from Kolkata to Delhi carrying West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee encountered a tyre burst after landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport here at 2030 hours today.
All passengers of Flight IC 201 were safe, said Airport authorities. The flight also had on board the Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Sarkar and former Chief Minister of West Bengal, Jyoti Basu.
The CPI(M) leaders have arrived in Delhi for a CPI(M) polit bureau meeting scheduled for tomorrow.
Some other flights were delayed due to the mishap as the plane was stranded on the runway for some time.
