One shot dead near Kohima

Kohima, Mar 9 (UNI) Unidentified gunmen shot dead one person below the Naga Hospital near here.

The body was recovered by the police this morning.

Official sources said the victim belonged to Jakhama village and was presently residing in the Jail colony here.

He had a bullet injury on his forehead.

Police suspected the victim as an activist of some underground faction and inter-faction rivalry may have been the cause behind the murder.

However, investigation was on, sources said.
