'No delay in land acquisition for IAF's project'
Bidar, Karnataka, Mar 9 (UNI) The district administration today clarified that it had already identified land for the Indian Air Force's Air-to-Land Bombing range project at Nirna village in Humnabad taluk.
Denying reports in a section of the Press that the district administration was delaying acquisition of land for the purpose, Deputy Commissioner Munish Moudgil told reporters here that land for the project had already been identified and would be handed over to the IAF once the Union Environment and Forests Ministry gave its clearance to the project.
Stating that the compensation amount for the land would be fixed soon, he said the IAF officials had been asked to deposit 50 per cent of the compensation amount with the district administration before acquiring the land.
