Naidu threatens to place files of Sripadasagar "Scam" in House

Hyderabad, Mar 9 (UNI)TDP Supremo and Leader of the Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu today said the Sripada Sagar project ''scam'' in which his party was alleging a misappropriation of Rs 400 crore's was only the tip of the iceberg of the Congress government's corruption.

Talking to newsmen here, he said his party would place all the relevent files in the assembly to prove the charge if the government refused to place them as demanded by his party.

Stating that it was unfortunate that he was not given an opportunity to participate in the debate on the Sripadasagar project, the former Chief Minister said he would take the matter to the notice of the Speaker.

He claimed that while the TDP submitted ''evidence on corruption of the government'', the ruling party instead of giving an explanation and proving its innocence used the debate to heap abuses on him and his party.

He charged that the Congress leaders instead of admitting their folly, were concentrating on counter attack.

Replying to questions on the proposed ''Rath Yatra'' of the BJP president Rajnath Singh and veteran leader L K Advani on the Varanasi bomb blast, Mr Naidu said it was an internal matter of the BJP.

He however, said it was not good to arouse hatred among people of different sections.
