Koijam hopes to do well in next assembly elections
Imphal, Mar 9 (UNI) Former Chief Minister Radhabinod Koijam, who was recently made the president of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the state today and claimed that the party will perform well in the next state assembly elections.
Addressing the media for the first time after becoming the chief of the state unit, Mr Koijam said that he would discuss various issues with Central leaders regarding development of the region.
He said he received a favourable assurance from Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel about when he raised the issue of high fares of Indian Airlines in the northeast.
He said the matter would be discussed with Mr Patel later.
