Kanbay opens Center of Excellence

Hyderabad, Mar 9 (UNI) Nasdaq listed Kanbay International, Inc, today announced the opening of a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in Hyderabad, even as the global IT services firm, focused on the financial services industry, plans to invest USD 50 million for its Indian operations.

Kanbay is constructing a 15-acre campus at a strategic point in the IT district in Hyderabad. The campus is near completition and, when fully operational, will be able to house over 3,000 IT staff, according to Mr Dayakar Reddy, Head of Hyderabad Solutions Center, the Company's Executive Vice-President ERP Solutions Ken Coppins told the media here.

The Company announced plans to recruit roughly 200 ERP professionals in the current year for the CoE in Hyderabad. The company has already begun recruting and is targeting ERP professionals with technical experience primarily in SaP, Oracle and Seibel. Kanbay currently has ablout 110 ERP proffessionals trained in PeopleSoft working at Hyderabad.

The firm also plans to open a Learning Center at Pune for 800 people during the current year.

The opening of new ERP Global Delivery and support CoE following its acquisition of Adjoined with USD 165 million, scheduled to close by mid-March, enables Kanbay to offer highly integrated, full IT services to more diversified base of clients. It can also enhance its customer offerings and diversify its client base and sources of revenue growth expected to be 25 per cent more than the current year revenue of USD 370 Million.
