IDBI selects HCL as partner for ICT infrastructure in 100 branches

New Delhi, Mar 9 (UNI) IT major HCL Infosystems today announced it has been selected by Industrial Development Bank of India Ltd (IDBI), Mumbai, to provide ICT infrastructure for its 100 new retail branches.

''One single vendor supporting 100 branches will ensure standardisation, proper support and increased uptime. HCL has an established position in the market and offers best-in-class solutions,'' IDBI Ltd Corporate Head Technology Sanjay Sharma said.

He added that this system-integrated ICT platform would address and meet the total computing, networking and office automation needs of IDBI for the branches.

This complex ICT infrastructure comprises various modern automation&ICT gadgets like IP Phones (VOIP Technology), Terrestrial link network devices for Data&Voice hybrid applications, highly available power supply systems, print servers (shared print services for end users), Analog/Digital EPABX systems etc.

HCL Infosystems has a committed Pan India Direct Support Infrastructure across 300 cities and towns in the countrya and it offers a single window to IT, Office-Automation and Communication product&services solution to the customers across the country. As on December 31, 2005, the aggregate balance sheet size of IDBI stood at over Rs 82,000 crore, with a net profit of Rs 119 crore during Q3 2005-06.
