HM militant killed, six surrender in J and K

Srinagar, Mar 9 (UNI) One Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant was killed and six others surrendered in Jammu and Kashmir overnight, official spokesman said here today.

He said five militants surrendered alongwith two pistols, as many magazines and 10 rounds of ammunition at Uri in north Kashmir district of Baramulla last night. With this a total of 16 ultras have surrendered in the valley during the last 24 hours. Nine militants surrendered in Srinagar yesterday.

An encounter took place during a search operation at Changer Gandoh last night.
