HC adjourns CBI plea for more time in Dera Sacha Sauda case
Chandigarh, Mar 9 (UNI) A division bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court today adjourned for April three, hearing on the CBI plea for grant of more time to complete investigations ordered by the court, into the murders of two people and sexual exploitation.
A bench comprising Justices Amar Dutt and Baldev Singh adjourned hearing on the murder of Sirsa-based journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati, Ranjit Singh of Kurukshetra and the alleged sexual exploitation of female inmates of Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa by its chief.
Those associated with the Dera management have been accused of these murders and at least two of the functionaries were under arrest in this connection.
Meanwhile, the bench has appointed senior advocate R S Ghai as amicus curie in the cases. Mr Ghai was the counsel for the Dera before being assigned the present task.
