HAL defeats Assam Rifles 4-0

Bangalore, Mar 9 (UNI) Hindustan Aeronautics Sports Club trounced Assam Rifles 4-0 to register its second win in the Second Division ONGC Cup 10th National Football League (Group B) here today.

At lemon time, the winners were leading 2-0.

In the one-sided affair, Nigerian striker Kenneth Onu opened the account in the very second minute by heading a pass by J Anand Vasan.

In a brilliant solo effort, Substitute Raju, who replaced Praveen, put the team 2-0 in the 32nd minute.

Even after crossing over, the Riflesmen continued to be at the receiving end with Airmen skipper A Xavier Vijay Kumar scoring a solo goal in the 58th minute and Thiyam Ragui Singh completing the tally 20 minutes later by converting a penalty kick.
