Fomer BJP Pondy president joins AIADMK

Chennai, Mar 9 (UNI) Former President of the Pondicherry BJP unit and legislator A M Krishnamurthy today quit the party and joined the AIADMK in the presence of its General Secretary J Jayalalithaa.

Mr Krishnamurthy, who was also a member of the National Administrative Committee of the BJP, called on Ms Jayalalithaa at her Poes Garden residence and enrolled himself as an AIADMK member.

Pondicherry AIADMK Secretary and legislator A Anbalagan was present on the occasion, an AIADMK release here said.

Earlier, Mr Krishamurthy, representing Reddiyarpalayam constituency, tendered his resignation to the Speaker of the Pondicherry Assembly M D R Ramachandran.
