ETA guerrillas warn of 4 bombs on Spanish roads

Madrid, Mar 9: Police received a telephone warning in the name of Basque guerrillas ETA of four bombs planted on highways in northern Spain, Basque police said today (Mar 9, 2006).

The bombs coincide with a general strike in the region called by radical separatist party Batasuna, associated with ETA.

The Basque road assistance organisation received a call just before 1130 hrs IST from someone claiming to represent the Basque separatist guerrillas, warning of four bombs, a spokesman said.
