Delhi Stations being done up

New Delhi, Mar 9 (UNI) Work is in progress to renovate the railway stations of Delhi, the Government informed the Lok Sabha today.

Expansion/renovation work is being done at the Delhi, New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations, Minister of State for Railways R Velu said in a written answer during Question Hour.

A Rs 2.28 crore project is on at the Delhi Safdarjang station for conversion of line no. 1 into common loop and extension of platform.

Rupees 85 crore is being spent to construct a new terminal at the Anand Vihar station while the Delhi Sarai Rohilla station is being used for despatching and receiving special trains for clearing holiday and summer rush.
