Controvery over security breach in Parliament

New Delhi, Mar 9 (UNI) The maiden speech of Mr Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha today was preceded by a controversy over alleged breach of security by the PSO of his sister, Priyanka Gandhi.

There were several versions about the incident, with one source stating that the personal security officer (PSO) had carried a gun with him to the Speaker's gallery from where Ms Priyanka and her husband, Robert Vadra, were watching the young MP deliver his speech.

According to another version, the PSO had accompanied the couple to the gallery without any authorisation and had to be asked to come out by the Watch and Ward staff of Parliament.

Yet another source said there was a commotion when the PSO was refused entry into the Speaker's gallery.

The Watch and Ward staff said the PSO had been asked to deposit his weapon before gaining entry into the high security zone.
