CID seeks court's permission to interrogate Nayak

Mumbai, Mar 9 (UNI) Maharashtra CID today moved an application before Special ACB court, seeking permission to interrogate suspended Sub Inspector Daya Nayak and record his statement in the Khawja Yunus case.

The matter, which came up before ACB judge S P Mahajan this afternoon, was adjourned for tomorrow.

Nayak at present is in the judicial custody in a disproportionate case registered against him by the ACB on January 20.

The CID moved the application since Daya Nayak, before surrendering, had told the electronic media that he had certain information about Yunus' disappearance from custody.
