Chitragupta drinking water project to be completed soon:Kashempur

Bidar, Mar 9 (UNI) Karnataka Agriculture Minister Bandappa Kashempur said today that the Humnabad Chitragupta drinking water supply project would be completed in 15 months.

Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the project he said tenders for the first phase work worth Rs six crore had been awarded and material worth Rs three crore had been purchased.

Mr Kashmepur promised "the project meant to draw water from the Karanaja dam for the two towns and 10 villages at a costing of Rs 19.04 crore . Work has started and he would monitor it".

The preliminary work for the second phase would start soon, he said.

Former minister and MLA's Mirjuddin Patel and district officials participated.
