Central assistance to continue for SC Dev. Corp: Cabinet

New Delhi, Mar 9 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today gave its approval for continuation of the Centrally sponsored scheme of assistance to State Scheduled Castes Development Corporations (SCDCS) during the 10th Five Year Plan (2002-07) with an allocation of Rs 188.26 crore.

The scheme will benefit about 28.62 lakh persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Safai Karamcharis during the plan, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.
